Ellen Shea is the Senior Client Specialist at Bell Rock Capital, LLC, an SEC Registered Investment Advisory firm. Ellen joined Bell Rock Capital in September 2018 at its Rehoboth Beach, DE headquarters.
Ellen earned her Certified Financial Planner CFP® designation May 2020 establishing Bell Rock Capital’s Financial Planning Services. In addition to Financial Planning, Ellen is also responsible for daily high-level client interactions as well as trading at Bell Rock Capital. Ellen works closely with the President and the Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to joining Bell Rock Capital, Ellen worked for The Thrush Group – Hightower, in Westport, CT as a Registered Client Associate successfully passing the Series 7 and 65 exams.
Ellen is the President and Executive Director of a nonprofit 501c3 Foundation whose mission is to provide to individuals, families and smaller 501c3 a contribution of effort and financial assets to make a meaningful improvement in their quality of life. She is responsible for the total leadership of the Foundation to ensure support of the mission, effective management of Foundation assets, and compliance and audit reporting requirements. Shea worked for over 10 years at Lieber & Co., The Evergreen Funds in Purchase, NY where she earned her Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. She worked as a Portfolio Manager, Research Analyst and Trader.
Ellen is a graduate of Temple University where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Economics and is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) (https://membership.onefpa.org/privacy-policy). Philanthropy is very important to Ellen. She has been involved with the National Charity League in Ridgefield, CT – a mother/daughter charitable organization, has been a board member of TBICO in Danbury, CT – a job retraining program for those individuals seeking to return to the paying workforce and has been involved with the Immanuel Shelter in Lewes, DE – a homeless shelter. Ellen enjoys spending time with her children, bicycling, hiking, reading, and walking with her dog.
